Which formulation is better? USA or AU?
Australia has a shochu & vodka base, as they are both neutral tasting spirits, it doesn't affect flavour heavily. USA Grog has a super-neutral wine-base, which masks any alcohol flavour. USA flavours are all natural, AU flavours are a mix of artificial and natural.
USA is less carbonated to help sessionability, this reduces the strength of flavour slightly.
Overall, we spent months perfecting the formulas for both markets, taking into account legal hurdles to make sure you guys get Grog in your state as quickly as possible! We blind tested US grog and found the flavours to be extremely similar, and we approve of AU, NZ & USA formulations!
